A Timeline of God's Faithfulness

A Dream for a Biblical Legacy
Heartland Christian began as a dream. A dream that led us down a path of faith, trust and unbelievable miracles.

The dream itself was a simple one --- to provide families an affordable educational option in a city where no Christian school was available. Included in that vision were programs of excellence in academics, Christian discipleship, leadership training, athletics and the arts. With only 52 days until the first day of class, a board of directors was established, a Headmaster was hired and Heartland was offered a home in the offices of a local businessman. The Heartland dream became a reality.
Fifty-two days leaves very little room for error, especially for a dream and a vision so much larger than any one person. The whirlwind planning was only possible through the combined effort of Godly men and experienced teachers who were confident in what God had called them to do.
On August 19, 2013, Heartland Christian opened for its first day of classes with 26 students. The applications poured in and we ended 2014 with nearly 40 students. With 60 students in 2015, we realized God's dream was bigger than ours, which launched us into an expansion project that would more than double the current facility. The need for expansion was confirmed when we began the 2016 year with over 80 students. Now in its 13th year, Heartland is currently offering unique and transforming opportunities to 270 young people. Heartland purchased the building we'd been renting from John Sproles in 2025, and we are currently working on the plans for a new high school on the property adjacent to our current location. To God Be The Glory!

Building a
LEGACY together

TRUTH MATTERS
Psalms 11:3
"If the foundations be destroyed,
what can the righteous do?"
Parents worry about what their children are learning in public school. Truth is not being taught and God is ignored or ridiculed.

CHILDREN ARE
OUR FUTURE
1 Timothy 4:12
"Let no one despise you for your youth,
but be an example for the believers in speech,
in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
Parents see that Godly character is undermined. Characteristics like purity, honesty, respect and obedience aren't valued.

IDEAS HAVE
CONSEQUENCES
1 Corinthians 15:33
"Be not deceived; bad company
ruins good morals."
Parents are concerned about immoral influences corrupting their children.
