We are dedicated to being Bible-strong while encouraging our students to stay physically fit. Our vision is to see students know Jesus Christ as Savior, and then help them grow physically and spiritually strong. We are constantly stretching ourselves to reach beyond the track record of past successes to accomplish new levels of spiritual and physical fitness. Heartland participates in the Indiana Association of Christian Schools (https://www.indianaacs.org/) Convention Competitions and regular season games. Athletic Agreement

Parent/Guardian signature required for participation in sports. It is highly recommended (but not a school requirement) that your child has an annual physical to assure their ability to participate in excessive physical activity. Student-Athletes will sign an agreement at practice.

I will support and appreciate the coaches who donate hours of their time to work with our children.

I understand Heartland strives to represent Christ by having good attitudes and respecting referees and opposing teams. I will support Heartland by cheering for our team, not by disrespecting referees, or opposing teams and fans in anyway. I will allow coaches to address the referees—I will encourage the Heartland players.

I understand the Heartland leadership (administration, board members, & coaches) determines what is appropriate and acceptable behavior for the conduct of fans and players when representing our teams. Their decisions are final, and I will respect those decisions.

I understand that with 9-12 students on a roster, many members on the team will not get game time. However, I am choosing to allow my child to play for the benefit from practices and coaching/player relationships. Players will decide through their attitudes, hard work, skill, and commitment to practice who will play in the games.

Our family will commit to helping host home games. I understand that our family will be assigned the responsibility of running concession stand at least once by the Athletic Director which is a big fundraiser for our teams. I also understand that my child will be signed up for other home game tasks such as selling tickets, concession stand clean up, line judging, etc.

I understand players that make a team will have the additional cost of athletic uniforms. Each player will be required to wear the athletic uniform chosen by Heartland. Players must also wear white athletic leggings under shorts. However, these costs are the responsibility of the parents – not Heartland. At all sport events, all athletes must abide by the Heartland’s dress standard of being always covered from “neck-to-knees” from the time they arrive, until they leave the premises.

There is a one-time fee of $100 to be on the Varsity team ($75 for JV and JH team - both charged to your Praxi acccount). This fee for Volleyball is due by September 18^th. Basketball fees will be due by January 15^th. If your student-athlete is part of a tournament team, there will be additional fees per tournament.
